Safe & Fair Username Policy

This Safe & Fair Username Policy governs the selection and use of usernames on Melodreams. It forms part of our Terms of Service and helps ensure that every username is safe, respectful, and fair to all creators.

1. General Requirements

All usernames must:

• Be unique and not impersonate any individual, brand, organization, or public figure
• Be appropriate for all ages and suitable for a public audience
• Not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights
• Comply with applicable laws and our Community Rules

2. Prohibited Usernames

The following types of usernames are strictly prohibited:

2.1 Harmful or Abusive Usernames

• Hate speech, slurs, discriminatory language, or references to protected characteristics
• Profanity, explicit sexual language, or adult-themed content
• Harassment, threats, or incitement to violence

2.2 Impersonation & Misrepresentation

• Impersonating celebrities, brands, public figures, or other users
• Using misleading terms such as “official”, “support”, “admin”, “staff”, or similar without explicit authorization from Melodreams
• Misrepresenting any affiliation with Melodreams or any other organization

2.3 Illegal or Restricted Content

• References to illegal activities, controlled substances, violence, extremism, or criminal acts
• Any content involving sexual exploitation or minors (zero tolerance)

2.4 Spam, Malicious, or Disruptive Usernames

• Strings that imitate system or administrative accounts
• Excessive symbols, repeated characters, or patterns commonly used by bots or spam accounts
• Usernames designed to evade moderation or cause confusion

3. Username Format Rules

• Must be between 3 and 30 characters long
• May contain only letters (a–z, A–Z), numbers (0–9), hyphens (-), and underscores (_)
• May not contain spaces or any other special characters
• Must be readable and not intentionally disruptive (e.g., no invisible or zalgo characters)

4. Reserved & Premium Usernames

Melodreams reserves the right to reserve, hold, or release certain usernames for system use, official accounts, verified creators, brands, or future platform needs. Verified or official usernames are granted at our sole discretion.

5. Enforcement

If a username violates this policy, Melodreams may, at its sole discretion:

• Request that you change the username
• Automatically rename the account to a temporary placeholder
• Suspend or restrict the account until a compliant username is chosen
• Terminate the account in cases of repeated or severe violations

Enforcement decisions are final.

6. Reporting a Username

If you believe a username violates this policy, please report it. We review every report seriously and act quickly.

7. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Safe & Fair Username Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of Melodreams after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
