Parent’s Guide
This Parent’s Guide is designed to give parents and legal guardians a clear, transparent overview of how Melodreams works, the strong safety measures we have in place, and how young users (aged 16+) interact with the Service. Melodreams is built with privacy and safety as core principles.
This guide supplements our full Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We strongly recommend reviewing both.
1. What Is Melodreams?
Melodreams is a simple, private link-in-bio platform. It lets users create one clean personal page (hosted at melo.bio) where they can add links, a short bio, and other public information they choose to share. The platform does not include messaging, comments, social feeds, chat features, or any interactive community tools.
2. Age Requirement
Melodreams is available only to individuals who are at least 16 years old. Local laws in some countries may require a higher minimum age. Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring that any minor in their care meets this requirement before creating an account. Accounts found to belong to users under 16 will be immediately terminated.
3. Information Collected from Minors
We collect only the absolute minimum data necessary to provide the Service:
- Email address (for account creation and essential notices)
- Chosen username
- Password (stored only as a secure, salted hash)
- Content the user voluntarily publishes on their public page (bio, links, profile image, etc.)
We do not use analytics, behavioral tracking, advertising, or profiling tools of any kind. See our full Privacy Policy for details.
4. Privacy & Safety Protections
Melodreams is designed with strong privacy-by-default safeguards, including:
- No analytics or advertising trackers
- No profiling or behavior analysis
- No data collected from visitors to any public melo.bio page
- Strictly necessary authentication cookies only
- Device fingerprinting used solely for security (to prevent unauthorized logins)
- Zero-tolerance policy for prohibited content (pornography, exploitation, violence, etc.) with immediate account termination and law-enforcement reporting where required
5. Public Profiles (melo.bio)
Users may choose to make their page public at melo.bio/@username. Parents are encouraged to review the page together with their child and discuss:
- What information and links are being shared
- The importance of not posting personal contact details or private information
- Responsible online sharing and personal branding
Parents or guardians may request the removal of any content or the full deletion of a minor’s account at any time.
6. Safety Recommendations for Parents
- Regularly review your child’s melo.bio page
- Discuss safe online practices and the permanent nature of public content
- Ensure they use a strong, unique password that is not shared
- Teach them never to share personal details (address, phone, school, etc.) on their public page
- Monitor for any suspicious activity and report it immediately
7. Reporting Concerns
If you see any content or activity that violates our safety rules (especially anything involving minors, exploitation, or harm), please report it immediately. We act fast and have zero tolerance.
