Out of Beta
Melodreams left beta on 5 June 2026.
The platform is now in general availability as Version 1.0. The beta phase ran from the initial public launch on 5 April 2026 to 5 June 2026.
What changed at general availability
- The "BETA" badge is removed from the homepage and brand surfaces.
- The Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Refund Policy are now the post-beta documents and are reviewed at least annually.
- Visitor analytics are now an explicit per-page opt-in/opt-out the creator controls from the dashboard. Default = on (matching prior behavior), but every public page now shows a small chip telling visitors what is being recorded.
- Beta-era badges (such as "beta-founder" and "early-dreamer") remain on the accounts of users who earned them. They are no longer issued.
- The "beta does not mean unfinished, it means evolving" language is retired. Iteration continues at the same pace, but the platform is no longer characterised as beta.
What stays the same
- The price stays at $3.99 per month.
- The privacy-first posture stays: no third-party trackers, no advertising, no behavioural profiles, no selling data, ever.
- The economy mandate stays: the platform must remain cheap to run, with predictable per-user infrastructure cost.
- Bug reports, feature requests and community input are still welcomed through the channels listed on the Contact page.
History of the beta phase
Melodreams launched on 5 April 2026 and operated as Version 1.0 Beta for 61 days. During that window we shipped:
- multi-region access (EU, US, APAC) via Cloudflare Workers Custom Domains;
- three-tier passwordless recovery (billing + device + 72-hour time-lock);
- full multi-factor authentication (TOTP authenticator apps, email codes, backup codes, passkeys);
- per-page block types (copy, header, spotlight) with full editor UX;
- device session management capped at three concurrent devices;
- creator-side visitor analytics opt-in/opt-out (this page);
- hardened webhooks + idempotent subscription state machine for Polar.
Thank you to everyone who used Melodreams during the beta phase, filed bugs, and pushed the platform to be better. The work continues.
